MobileBurn.com - The Samsung Dart is an entry-level Android handset available from T-Mobile. It has a 3.1-inch display with a disappointing QVGA (240 x 320 pixel) resolution, and a 600MHz processor. Running Android 2.2 Froyo, the Dart features Samsung's TouchWiz interface. The Dart is faster than you might think with its slower processor, but the resolution really lets you down when you try to browse the web. The 3 megapixel camera lacks autofocus and a flash, and only takes QVGA video, which is disappointing as well. In light of its faults, the Dart is as cheap as you can get an Android smartphone, as T-Mobile is offering the phone for free with a new two-year agreement. You can also opt to go a pre-paid route with the Dart, but then you have to plunk down 0 to purchase the phone. More info: www.mobileburn.com

T-Mobile Sidekick 4G Software Review

More about the Sidekick 4g: bit.ly In the software tour of the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G, we start off by talking about the default interface of the device, which is different than the stock Froyo launcher, but is effective and easy to use. The Sidekick 4G comes with a Feeds and Updates widget which can only be updated once per day; a sticky notes widget which saves your favorite text messages; and several others. The smartphone also lets you change to a variety of nice-looking themes that change the look and feel of the homescreen. Then we go over the jump key settings which makes it quick and easy to launch apps with the keyboard. There's a way to change the color of the LED notification light, which is a nice touch to help customize the Sidekick 4G. There's also a way to customize the action of a slide-up action in the lock screen. There's a group messaging SMS feature, plus the ability to do WiFi calling. Unfortunately, the WiFi calling still uses your minutes. We wrap of the video by showing some of the included apps on the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G. Facebook: www.facebook.com Twitter: twitter.com

T-Mobile myTouch 4G Software Overview

What apps come pre-loaded on the T-Mobile myTouch 4G? Glad you asked! Let's take a look! This iteration of the myTouch comes pre-laoded with a customized version of HTC's Sense UI. In all honesty, this is the first version of Sense that I've used that didn't irritate me in use. There are still some things that I think the stock Android OS and app suite does better, but I'm glad that HTC is continuing to push their UI forward and make improvements that are more in-line with what the rest of Android looks and feels like (or is it the other way around?). As with most carrier-subsidized or carrier-branded phones, the myTouch 4G comes with its share of "bloatware" -- software that you may not want or use, but you're stuck with because it comes with the phone. Most of these apps, however, are small enough not to get in the way, and are nice to have just in case. Many are demos, providing one or two levels (Asphalt, Rockband), or time-limited subscriptions (T-Mobile TV), but they are still pretty cool and could come in hand to keep you entertained when waiting for a train or flight. Let's take a quick walk through of all the stuff that comes pre-loaded on the myTouch 4G.

We take you on a software tour of the T-Mobile HTC HD7 Windows Phone. It's the only WP7 device to sport the huge 4.3 inch display, which makes typing on the on-screen keyboard that much easier.

HTC offers slightly different incarnations of the Touch Pro2 for all the major carriers but what makes the sprint version better than the others? Well, if you are already using sprint the transition will be the easiest, but the device its self actually offers some benefits. For example, sprint has an exclusive contract with the NFL network so using your sprint phone you can watch the NFL network, live, on your device. You also get the sprint music store, the sprint application store, the complete sprint mobile tv service, the sprint EV-DO network, and sprint navigator (GPS).
